Account and Profile Management

Offering Services and Products
From your profile dashboard, select “Create Service” and choose the type of service you want to offer. Add details like delivery time, pricing, and a description to attract the right clients. You can also create multiple packages, such as Basic, Essential, and Premium, to cater to varying needs.
Similar to services, select “Create Product” from your dashboard and choose the type of product you want to offer. Add details, pricing, and upload the necessary files. You can create multiple packages with different file contents. You need to own the rights to the products you are selling.
Yes, Octaton allows you to set up multiple packages for each service, each with unique features and pricing. For instance, a Premium mixing package might include unlimited revisions, while a Basic one could offer a quicker turnaround with fewer features.

Yes, you can edit your services and products to add or modify its properties and its packages. If there are active requests on a service and you change the pricing on it, those existing requests will still be charged at the original price, while new requests will be charged at the updated price.
Yes, you can temporarily pause a service to stop receiving requests. This allows you to manage your workload effectively.
You will see incoming requests in your dashboard under each service’s panel. You will also receive a notification via email when a new request is submitted to you. All necessary files (and/or tracks) should already be attached to the request you receive.
Each request has a dedicated panel where you can communicate with the requester and upload the files for delivery. Ensure you complete the request within the specified delivery time. Once delivered, the requester has 3 days to review and close the request, after which you’ll receive the service credits. If there are any issues, the requester can reopen the request for revisions.
Absolutely! Octaton gives you the flexibility to reject a request, and the credits will be refunded to the requester without any hassle.
Projects And Requests
A project is a collection of files, tracks, or requests you create to collaborate with service providers. Projects help you organize your work, track progress, and ensure everything is accessible in one place for smooth collaboration.
From your dashboard, click “Create Project,” upload your files, and specify your goals. Whether you need mixing, design work, or playlist pitching, you can submit your project to multiple service providers and track progress effortlessly.
Yes, you can add more files or adjust project details as needed. However, project updates made after submitting your project to providers will not be reflected in those requests in order to avoid any confusion. You can always add additional files to submitted requests through the request panel.
A request is a project submission made to a service provider.
The provider receives your request and starts working on it based on the agreed delivery timeline. Once completed, you can review the work, accept it, or request changes if necessary.
Collaborative Folders
From your dashboard, select the folder you want to collaborate on and use the “Invite Collaborators” option. Select the profiles of the collaborators you want to invite, and they’ll gain access to view, add, and comment on files.

You can share audio and video files, artwork, and any other relevant documents. Octaton supports a wide range of file formats to accommodate various collaboration needs.

To onboard team members, ensure they’re registered on Octaton and connected with you as friends. Then, navigate to your profile settings, send an invitation, and assign a role such as Admin, Editor, or Collaborator. Once they accept, they’ll have access to your profile based on their assigned role.

You can generate secure links to share files directly with collaborators, even if they’re not on Octaton. Links can be password-protected and set to expire for added security.

Payouts
Payments are credited to your profile wallet once a request is completed or a product is sold. From there, you can transfer funds to your bank account securely via Stripe.
Payouts fees start at 5%, which is lower than our competitors like Fiverr, Gumroad, SubmitHub and SoundBetter, and goes up to 16% depending on your membership level.
You can withdraw funds as soon as they’re available in your wallet. However, some requests may require a brief review period before funds are released.
